School Report 2013-14

I feel highly privileged to present the annual report of my school.        I am proud to say that this school has stepped successfully, into its third year. This was possible because of the patronage extended to us by Dr. D Veerendra Heggadeji, the chairman of the J.S.S institutions, with the benign blessings of His Holiness, Shri Vishweshwara thirtha swamiji, President, J.S.S.

Institutions, Under the able  guidance of our Secretary Sir, Dr. N Vajrakumar sir, and our C.F.O. Dr. Ajith Prasad Sir and the valuable support and guidance given by the principal of J.S.S. CBSE school,  Smt Sadhana mam.

                This school began functioning on 28th May   2011, with   sixty four students on roll. This year, the number has increased to four hundred fifteen children. We have classes from LKG to  Std IX, this year and next year we will have STD X also .

      Our commitment has been to ensure the holistic development   of the child. We follow the C.C.E. pattern of Evaluation here, monitoring the progress of the child, not only in curricular activities, but also in co-curricular activities like sports, art , and dramatics. Every month various competitions like Rangoli, art, elocution, fancy dress, spell-bee, quiz etc are conducted.  Children are assessed through   four formative assessments and two summative assessments. Equal importance is also given to co-Scholastic areas like sports, yoga moral education, project assessment, etc.  We have the grading system. The moral and physical development of the child is also taken care off.

      I’m very happy to announce that our upper K.G. children bagged the III^rd   prize in the inter-school patriotic song competition, held at Dharwad. Our UKG kid master Sannath okhade bagged the first prize in Tell a Tale competition, held at Sanskar School, Hubli. Many of our children have won prizes in the Iskon competitions. This year our focus was to encourage and exhibit the inherent talent in children, so “inspire-2013” the academic and science exhibition was organized in the school. To unveil the inherent talent of students, a talent search dance programme called Pratibha Shodh was organized in the school. 

       All National and cultural festivals like Christmas, Independence Day, Dusshera etc. are celebrated in the school. We celebrated Teacher’s Day and Children’s Day by organizing Fancy dress, elocution, dancing and fun fare. The Annual Sports Day was conducted successfully, with all the children taking part in different sport events. Our children have won district level Dussera prizes in Karate competitions.

Budding badminton players are bringing crowning glory to the school by winning tournaments.

      We organized excursions to Indira glass house, Utsav garden and Kishkinda this year successfully.   We organize educational field trips to children to agricultural college, bank, railway station, etc to see the actual working of institutions and learn from them. We have upgraded our Library, Science Lab and Sports equipments.

We have an excellent team of zealous teachers working for the all round progress of the students, using innovative methods. We use activity method to make the children understand the concepts.

  MacMillan all India level exams, Olympiad exams and Isckon exams were also conducted in the school.

  We have arranged counseling on Life skills, Health and Hygiene to our students by expert Drs Akash and Anita Kembhavi.

All this was possible with the excellent support extended by the management, co-operation given by the parents, and relentless effort of teachers. I express my heart-felt gratitude to all  of you for the support and encouragement given.
